# Cart details

> Everything about one cart: items, live activity, visitor, customer, tickets, notes, attributes, and draft orders.

Click **View Details** on any row in the dashboard to open a cart. The page refreshes itself every 10 seconds, so you see changes while the shopper is still browsing.

## Header

* **Cart ID: …** with the cart's status badge, and the most recent contact type if your team has logged one.
* **Created** and **Updated** times.
* **Mark Contact** — log a phone call, email or chat with this shopper. See [Contacts & support tickets](https://codebeans-customer-cart-manager.mintlify.site/carts/contacts-and-tickets.md).
* **Hide Cart** — archive the cart (see [below](#archive-a-cart)).

When the cart's status is **Cart**, a blue **Reviewing Cart** banner offers two shortcuts: **Customer contacted us** and **We're reaching out**. Each opens the contact log with that type already chosen. Close the banner with **×**.

When the shopper has completed an order, a green banner confirms it.

## Cart items

Each line shows the product image, the product name (click it to open the product in Shopify admin), the variant, any line item properties (such as engraving text), the price × quantity, and the line total. The cart **Total** is at the bottom.

### Draft order buttons

| Button | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Convert to Draft Order** | Creates a Shopify draft order from the cart right away — same items, customer, note and attributes. |
| **Create Customize Cart** | Opens the [draft order builder](https://codebeans-customer-cart-manager.mintlify.site/draft-orders/builder.md) so you can change items, prices, customer or tags first. Shows **Edit Customize Cart** if you've already started one. |

Once a draft order exists, the buttons change to:

| Button | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Update draft order** | Copies the cart's latest items into the draft order. It's only clickable when the cart has changed — or the draft order was edited in Shopify — since the last sync. |
| **Go to Draft Order** | Opens the draft order in Shopify admin, where you can send an invoice. |

Read more in [Draft orders](https://codebeans-customer-cart-manager.mintlify.site/draft-orders/overview.md).

## Activity Feed

A timeline of what the shopper did, newest first, with relative and exact times:

**Product viewed** · **Product added to cart** · **Product removed from cart** · **Collection viewed** · **Home page viewed** · **Page viewed** · **Cart viewed** · **Checkout started** · **Order completed**

Product events show a thumbnail and link to the product. Hover to see a larger preview.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The Activity Feed needs the **Basic** plan or above. On Free it's blurred with an upgrade prompt.

## Visitor Information

The shopper's **city and country** (with flag), **browser**, **operating system** and **IP address**. Click **View Activity History** for the full-page view — see [Activity history](https://codebeans-customer-cart-manager.mintlify.site/carts/activity-history.md).

## Customer

If the shopper is a known customer, you'll see their name, email, phone and shipping address (with a **View map** link).

If the cart belongs to a guest:

1. Click **Add customer**.
2. Search your Shopify customers by name or email and pick one, **or** click **Create customer** and enter:
   * **First Name** and **Last Name**
   * **Email** *(required)*
   * **Phone** — must start with a country code, e.g. `+919876543210`
3. The customer is attached to this cart, and is used when you create a draft order.

Use the **⋯** menu on the Customer card to **Change customer** or **Remove customer**.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Creating a customer here creates a real customer in your Shopify admin.

## Support Tickets

The latest four support requests sent from this cart, with their messages. Click **View all** to see the rest in the dashboard's **Support Tickets** tab.

## Conversion Summary

| Badge | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Order Converted** | Links to the Shopify order created from this cart. |
| **Draft Order Generated** | Links to the draft order and shows when it was **Last synced**. |

## Contact History

Every call, email or chat your team has logged for this shopper, newest first. Click **Add Contact Log** to record a new one.

## Notes & Instructions

Free-text notes about the shopper or the order — for example *"Wants delivery before the 20th."* Notes are copied into the draft order note when you create a draft order.

## Cart Attributes

Key–value details attached to the cart, such as `gift_message: Happy birthday!` or `po_number: 4471`. Attributes your shoppers added on the storefront are shown here first. Click **Add custom attribute** to add more, or **Remove** to delete one.

When you save, the list you see here becomes the cart's attributes and is copied into any draft order you create.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Editing cart attributes needs the **Advanced** plan or above.

### Save your changes

Editing notes or attributes shows Shopify's save bar at the top of the page. Click **Save** to keep your changes, or **Discard** to undo them.

## Archive a cart

Archive carts you don't need to follow up on — test carts, duplicates, or spam — to keep your tabs tidy.

1. Click **Hide Cart**.
2. Confirm with **Archive cart**.

The cart moves to the dashboard's **Archived** tab and disappears from the other tabs. To bring it back, open the **Archived** tab and click **Unarchive**.
