Click View Details on any row in the dashboard to open a cart. The page refreshes itself every 10 seconds, so you see changes while the shopper is still browsing.
  • Cart ID: … with the cart’s status badge, and the most recent contact type if your team has logged one.
  • Created and Updated times.
  • Mark Contact — log a phone call, email or chat with this shopper. See Contacts & support tickets.
  • Hide Cart — archive the cart (see below).
When the cart’s status is Cart, a blue Reviewing Cart banner offers two shortcuts: Customer contacted us and We’re reaching out. Each opens the contact log with that type already chosen. Close the banner with ×. When the shopper has completed an order, a green banner confirms it.

Cart items

Each line shows the product image, the product name (click it to open the product in Shopify admin), the variant, any line item properties (such as engraving text), the price × quantity, and the line total. The cart Total is at the bottom.

Draft order buttons

Once a draft order exists, the buttons change to: Read more in Draft orders.

Activity Feed

A timeline of what the shopper did, newest first, with relative and exact times: Product viewed · Product added to cart · Product removed from cart · Collection viewed · Home page viewed · Page viewed · Cart viewed · Checkout started · Order completed Product events show a thumbnail and link to the product. Hover to see a larger preview.
The Activity Feed needs the Basic plan or above. On Free it’s blurred with an upgrade prompt.

Visitor Information

The shopper’s city and country (with flag), browser, operating system and IP address. Click View Activity History for the full-page view — see Activity history.

Customer

If the shopper is a known customer, you’ll see their name, email, phone and shipping address (with a View map link). If the cart belongs to a guest:
  1. Click Add customer.
  2. Search your Shopify customers by name or email and pick one, or click Create customer and enter:
    • First Name and Last Name
    • Email (required)
    • Phone — must start with a country code, e.g. +919876543210
  3. The customer is attached to this cart, and is used when you create a draft order.
Use the ⋯ menu on the Customer card to Change customer or Remove customer.
Creating a customer here creates a real customer in your Shopify admin.

Support Tickets

Conversion Summary

Contact History

Every call, email or chat your team has logged for this shopper, newest first. Click Add Contact Log to record a new one.

Notes & Instructions

Free-text notes about the shopper or the order — for example “Wants delivery before the 20th.” Notes are copied into the draft order note when you create a draft order.

Cart Attributes

Key–value details attached to the cart, such as gift_message: Happy birthday! or po_number: 4471. Attributes your shoppers added on the storefront are shown here first. Click Add custom attribute to add more, or Remove to delete one. When you save, the list you see here becomes the cart’s attributes and is copied into any draft order you create.
Editing cart attributes needs the Advanced plan or above.

Save your changes

Editing notes or attributes shows Shopify’s save bar at the top of the page. Click Save to keep your changes, or Discard to undo them.

Archive a cart

Archive carts you don’t need to follow up on — test carts, duplicates, or spam — to keep your tabs tidy.
  1. Click Hide Cart.
  2. Confirm with Archive cart.
The cart moves to the dashboard’s Archived tab and disappears from the other tabs. To bring it back, open the Archived tab and click Unarchive.
