As well as sitting on the cart page or drawer, the widget can open as a popup in the middle of the screen. Use it to make sure shoppers notice they can get help with their cart.
The popup and exit-intent need a paid plan. On the Free plan these options are locked and the popup never shows.
Go to Settings → Popup & Support → Popup Configuration.

Settings

checkbox
default:"off"
Turns the popup on. Nothing below has any effect while this is off.
number
How long after a page loads the popup opens. Set it to 1 for an almost-immediate popup, or a higher number (for example 20) to give shoppers time to look around first. Set it to 0 to skip the timed popup and rely on exit-intent only.
checkbox
default:"off"
Opens the popup when the shopper’s mouse leaves the top of the browser window — usually a sign they’re about to close the tab or go back. It triggers at most once per page view.
Click Save at the top of the page.

Good to know

  • The popup only opens on pages where the widget is allowed by your visibility settings, and only for your chosen audience.
  • Only one popup is shown at a time. Shoppers close it with the × button.
  • Exit-intent relies on mouse movement, so it works on desktop browsers. On phones and tablets, use the timer instead.
  • The popup uses the same template as the inline widget, and its button opens the same support form.
A popup that appears the moment a page loads can feel pushy. Many stores get a better response with exit-intent on and the timer set to 0, or a timer of 20–30 seconds.
